Coventry City are keen to sign Gus Hamer from Sheffield United, but the two clubs have a gap in their valuation of the midfielder. Hamer, 29, is due to become a free agent next June as things stand and his future at Bramall Lane is up in the air at the moment, despite the fact he played for the Blades in their latest pre-season friendly over in Germany against VfL Bochum. He has made 123 appearances for his current club in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 22 goals and 29 assists. In this latest update regarding his situation in this transfer window, Sky Sports claim a fee for his services hasn't been agreed yet and talks are continuing between all the parties involved. The source adds that the player is 'keen' to return to the CBS Arena if possible and that personal terms are not expected to be a problem if an agreement is struck.
